Privacy Policy

Short version: Rave Squad has no servers and no accounts. We don't collect, store, see, or sell any of your data. Everything stays on your phone and travels only directly between you and your squad's phones.

Who we are

Rave Squad (the "app") is a phone-only, offline squad-finder and messenger for festivals and events, published by Volcan AI ("we," "us"). Contact: support@volcanx.app.

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no servers and have no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We never receive your messages, your location, your contacts, your device identifiers, or any usage data. There is no account, no sign-up, no email, and no phone number.

How your information is used (all on-device / peer-to-peer)

Rave Squad works by sending data directly between phones over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi (a "mesh") — not over the internet, and never through us:

Messages, cards (Meet / I'm Here / Need Help), reactions, and visuals are created on your device, end-to-end encrypted, and relayed phone-to-phone to your squad. They are stored only on the devices in your squad.
Location (While Using the App only): if you turn it on, your position is used on your device to show distances and the finder arrow, and is shared only inside your squad's encrypted mesh packets so squadmates can find you. It is never sent to us or any third party. Turn it off any time in iOS Settings.
Bluetooth / Local Network: used solely to discover and relay to nearby squad phones. Ultra Wideband (Nearby Interaction), on supported iPhones, is used only while the finder is open to point you to a squadmate.
Camera / Photos: used only if you take a photo to send as a visual, save a received visual, or scan a squad invite QR code. Processed on-device.

Your identity

Your identity is a key pair generated and kept on your device. Your display name is a label you choose; it is shared only with your squad over the mesh.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (e.g. the Multi-Squad unlock) are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Your purchase entitlement is verified on your device via Apple's StoreKit.

Data retention & deletion

Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Squad data lives only on the phones in your squad; deleting the app removes its data from your device.

Children

Rave Squad is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone (it collects nothing from anyone).

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date.
